Your profile, sign-in methods, and security settings – all in one place.
The Account settings control your visible profile information, sign-in methods, and security settings inside MomentumAI. Here you can change your name, profile picture, connect external accounts, enable extra security, or manage your account.
Profile Settings
Display username in messages
Toggle whether your name is shown next to your messages in shared or team conversations. When turned on, your name appears beside each message for easier collaboration and recognition. When off, you see the title "you" above sent messages.
Name
This is the display name visible to others across chats and shared workspaces. You can edit it anytime by selecting Edit.
Profile picture
Upload or change your profile image – it will appear next to your messages and in the member list of shared chats. Click Change picture to select a new image from your device.
Sign-in Options
Sign in with Google or Microsoft
You can link your Google or Microsoft account to MomentumAI for faster, more secure sign-in. This is also known as Single Sign-On (SSO).
SSO options are available when creating your account upon opening an invitation from your admin. You can also link your account to Google or Microsoft later in your account settings.
Benefits of account linking:
- Sign in with one click – no need to remember another password
- Use your existing corporate credentials if your organization uses Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
- Enhanced security through your identity provider's protection
To link an existing account:
- Go to Settings → Account
- Under Sign-in Options, click Connect next to Google or Microsoft
- Follow the prompts to authorize access
- Once linked, you can sign in using that account
If your organization uses Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, linking your work account provides seamless access and may be required by your IT administrator.
Security
Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
Add an extra layer of security to your account by enabling multi-factor authentication. When enabled, you'll need both your password and a verification code from an authenticator app to sign in. You can find this option in the Account tab under Settings.
Supported authenticator apps:
- Google Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Authy
- 1Password
- Any TOTP-compatible app
To enable MFA:
Open security settings
Go to Settings → Account and find the MFA section. Click Enable MFA.
Scan the QR code
Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code shown on screen. This links your account to the app.
Enter verification code
Type the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm setup.
Save backup codes
Store the backup codes in a safe place – you'll need these if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Recommended: Enable MFA for maximum account security, especially if you work with sensitive information or have admin privileges.
Account Management
Delete account
Permanently remove your MomentumAI account, including all chats, settings, and associated data. This action cannot be undone, and all content linked to your account will be deleted from our servers.
